DESCRIPTION: EPW - Unsigned Swiss, tandem-winding two-train split-seconds chronograph with 1/4-second jump, 55mm, heavy 18K gold original HC with button on band at 11 for chronograph stop, start and reset function, button on band at 1 for split-seconds function, gold cuvette, case was originally also with a glazed mvt observation cover but this is no longer present, white enamel SS dial, SW-shift-locking-LS, fully capped lever escapement, 32-33J, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern nickel damascene, s#1378 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 91.9 dwt (142.9 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good primary chronograph and 1/4-second jump functions, split-seconds with good engagement but with substantial sluggishness to its reset, overhaul recommended if more rapid split-seconds reset is desired, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered small fine to micro-fine scratches and some small surface nicks; dial with scattered hls and scratches with the majority being to its lower portion; excellent hands, hour and minute are mismatched styles, sweep-seconds-hands are plum colored, all other hands blue; case originally had a glazed mvt observation cover but this is no longer present, case shows very light wear, prominent ding to left perimeter of front, dent to band at 7, ding to band at 5, few nicks scattered elsewhere to band, case front lift spring needs help through the second half of its opening range, case front and rear opening somewhat short of 90 degrees (to approximately 80 degrees each); tight bow, crown shows very light wear; good glass crystal.
